We'll deliver the goods as soon as we can.我們將盡快交貨。
As soon as he got home， the phone rang.他一到家，電話就響了。
The dogs ran off as soon as we appeared.我們一露面狗就跑了。
Carol answered the door as soon as I knocked.
as soon as 表示“一 ……就……”，用來引導時間狀語從句。
其用法一般有兩種情況 :
1 指未發生的動作。時態規律是“主將從現”，即主句用一般將來時，從句用一般現在時代替一般將來時。如：
I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.
他一回來，我就告訴他這個消息。
【注】有時爲了特意表達剛剛完成某事就如何如何，會用到現在完成時。如：
I will go with you as soon as I have washed my face.
我一洗好臉就跟你去。
2 指緊接着發生的兩個短動作，主從句都用一般過去時。如：
He took out his English book as soon as he sat down.
他一坐下，就拿出自己的英語書。
一、as soon as
as soon as“一……就……剛……就……”，是從 衍化來的時間從屬連詞，引導時間狀語從句，屬於副詞的比較範疇，表示一個動作接着另一個動作發生，其用法特點有
（一）時態要求
常用於一般簡單時態，即一般現在時、一般過去時和一般將來時。
The machine starts as soon as the button is pressed.
一按按鈕機器就開動起來。
As soon as I arrived home yesterday，the telephone rang.
昨天我一到家電話鈴就響了。
I shall call you as soon as I arrive in Shanghai.
我一到上海就給你打電話。
（二）常用於祈使語氣
由於它們要求用一般現在時和一般將來時，所以，經常用於祈使語氣，並常和let，please連用。
Let us start as soon as he comes.
他一來就讓我們開始吧。
Please tell us the instant you have any news.
一有消息請立即告訴我們。
Telephone me immediately you get the result.
你一得到結果就打電話給我。
二、the instant（that/when），the minute（that/when），the moment（that/when），the second（that/when），directly，immediately，instantly
這七個短語不僅和as soon as同義，均表示“一……就……剛……就……”，而且用法也一樣：1.常用於一般簡單時態2.常用於祈使語氣3.從屬連詞的位置比較靈活，可放在句首或句子後部。這七個短語按結構可分爲兩種：the instant（that/when），the minute（that/when），the moment（that/when），the second（that/when），和directly，immediately，instantly，並各有其不同的特點。
（一）the instant（that/when），the minute（that/when），the moment
（that/when），the second（that/when）
四者中，定冠詞the均不能省略，而它們的連詞that或when則可以省略。就使用頻度來說，這四個短語中，the second（that/when）用得不多：
You see the lightning the instant it happens，but you hear the thunder later.（從屬連詞前置，一般現在時。）
閃電一出現你就看得見，但是隨後你才聽到雷聲。
The moment he saw me，he turned pale.
（從屬連詞前置，一般過去時。）他一看到我就臉色蒼白。
I am going to tell you the moment（that/when） I get the information.（從屬連詞位於句子後部，一般將來時。）
我一有消息就告訴你。
I recognized him the second （that/when） we met each other.
（從屬連詞位於句子後部。）一見面我就認出了他。
一、as soon as釋義
一……就……一經不久後，一會兒。既可以引導時間狀語從句，表過去，又可以表示將來。as soon as引導時間狀語從句當主句用一般過去時時，從句中用一般過去時或過去完成時。
二、as soon as的用法
as soon as 的用法一般是兩種情況：

如：I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.
注：有時，爲了特意表達剛剛完成某事就如何如何，需要用現在完成時.

如: He took out his English books as soon as he sat down。
不過，我也見過從句和主句都用一般現在時的情況.
如：As soon as he finishes his classwork，he runs out of the class.他一做完課堂作業，就跑出了教室.
一般來說as soon as前後的動詞用主將從現，主句用一般將來時，從句用一般現在時。
三、as soon as的用法例句
1、 As soon as he got inside， the dog shook himself.他一進來，狗就開始搖頭擺尾。
2、 They stopped you as soon as you deviated from the script.一旦你偏離了劇本的內容，他們就會喊停。
3、 As soon as the two chicks hatch， they leave the nest burrow.兩隻小鳥一出殼就離開了巢穴。
4、 As soon as we were inside， the rain began to bucket down.我們剛進屋，大雨便傾盆而下。
