King Charles III， also translated as Charles III. The current King of England is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and her husband prince Philip， Duke of Edinburgh， and the current head of the Commonwealth. Prince Charles is the longest serving crown prince in British history.
In 1952， he was named Duke of Cornwall， Earl Carrick， Baron Renfrew， Scottish Islands and Lord Stuart. In 1958， he was granted the title of Prince of Wales (the exclusive title of the heir to the British throne during his reign) and the Earl of Chester.
In 1967， Prince Charles entered Trinity College of Cambridge University to study. In 1971， he received a bachelor's degree. He was the first crown prince in Britain to obtain a bachelor's degree. From 1971 to 1976， he served abroad with the Royal Navy and entered the Royal Air Force Academy and Dartmouth Royal Naval Academy. He was awarded an honorary degree by Durham University on July 2， 1998.
