uptillnow和sofar的區別：
up till now
只適用於表示時間：到目前爲止
They have been to many cities in the south up till now.
到目前爲止，他們已經去過許多城市了。
so far
可以用來表示時間：到目前爲止
So far there's been no word from them.
=Up to now there's been no word from them.
至今沒有他們的消息。
也可以用來表示其他：就此範圍(程度)來說
You can go only so far on five dollars.
你頂多花五美元。
區別：so far 概括的時間範圍要比 up till now 廣 ，up till now 絕大多數情況下表示“直到我講話的這個時間爲止，就是直到眼下”的意思，而後 so far 可以表示“到最近這一段時間爲止”。
